Q1. Do you fit genuine manufacturer parts in the vehicles you maintain and service?
Yes, of course – we always use approved dealer quality parts.
Q2. My new car is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, can I still use Goodwood Automotive for servicing and general maintenance – and hence save a heck of a lot?
Yes – in fact, new laws mean the manufacturers’ warranty stays intact. At Goodwood Automotive this means we can complete your annual service as well as renewable components such as brakes, discs, and so forth at a fraction of the price of main dealers. So if a major manufacturing fault does occur you can still take your vehicle to your local franchised dealership and they will carry out the repair at no cost (as it will fall under the warranty).
Q3. My new car has a free service package from the dealer, so what can Goodwood Automotive offer that will save me some money?
It’s all in the small print of your franchised dealer. Free dealer servicing usually covers the bare essentials and does not cover other parts. So, for example, brake pads, discs, wiper blades, etc in all likelihood would not be covered. So anything else by the main dealer will mean paying main dealer rates. Find out what is inclusive in your service package and what isn’t. That way you’ll have the best of both worlds – and save money too.
Q4. My car isn’t exactly brand new and I need to keep maintenance costs to a minimum?
We can work with your budget to provide you a cost-effective solution to keeping your older vehicle on the road. At Goodwood Automotive we are able to give you a choice of genuine manufacturer parts or suitable cheaper aftermarket OEM parts to help suit your budget.
Q5. How exactly do you keep up with the latest technology for the new vehicles?
We were one of the first garages in the UK to fully adopt diagnostic equipment into our workflow. We’ve invested heavily in such equipment for years and our know-how is even sought by other garages. We at Goodwood have the latest diagnostic software which is always kept up to date. This allows us to interact with vehicle onboard computer systems. Additionally, all of our staff are sent on training days several times a year to ensure we remain at the fore-font.
Q6. Are you able to stamp my service history book and reset my service interval?
Yes, we are. As a specialist independent we are able to stamp your service history book which should you ever sell your vehicle, confirms to the new owner that services have been carried out by a specialist to exact manufacturer criteria. The service light is automatically reset to the appropriate interval.
Q7. Can I get a replacement vehicle whilst my car is being worked on?
Yes. Goodwood Automotive is able to provide you with a courtesy car subject to certain insurance and return time conditions.
Q8. I work during the day and will find it difficult to drop my car at the garage?
Again no problem! We are able to offer a pick-up/drop-off service.
Q9. Is my car valeted whilst it is with you?
All vehicles booked in for a Main Dealer Spec Service will receive a Goodwood Automotive complimentary valet.
